Novel - The Cruelty of Kindness
Millenniums ago, there was war and bloodshed throughout the lands. Chaos and crime flourished with the ruling classes refusing to intervene. Nothing could be obtained without a price. Action required reward, favor required loyalty, happiness required sacrifice, and kindness? Kindness required submission.

The unspoken rule known by all: The one's who hold the power, hold the right. The right to Luxury, Slaves, Knowledge, and Freedom. One day, a man is found unconscious by two apprentice argentum knights, while practicing their marksmanship near a secluded beach. The man clutches an old, worn, blue sheathed sword to his chest with visible scars that nearly engulf his entire body. The most prominent being a vertical 6 inch scar upon his left eye. The children have no idea what trouble this man brings nor what caused him to end up in such a state, but more importantly, why  is this man crying? And why is his left eye releasing blood tears as red as fire?
